Walk the landscape of Stonehenge in the morning, walking the Stonehenge Avenue.
Visit the site of Durrington Walls and Woodhenge, North-east Europe's largest 3rd millenium village
Midday on towards the Isle of Avalon, following delightful back roads until Glastonbury Tor where legend tells us King Arthur was brought after being mortally wounded in battle and then the enigmatic ruins of Glastonbury Abbey, Arthurs place of burial.
The Afternoon is spent at the Avebury World Heritage Landscape. We visit Silbury Hill, the largest man-made hill in prehistoric Europe and finish visiting the largest stone circle in Europe at Avebury, with its beautiful medieval village situated inside. As John Aubrey in the 1600's notes [Avebury]..."does as much exceed in greatness the so renowned Stonehenge as a Cathedral doeth a parish church."
